Thank goodness for my LegalShield membership! Such power! Owning a LegalShield membership provides me with the benefit to have a document reviewed before I signed it. If I hadn't had it reviewed first, I could have potentially been in trouble for $1000's of dollars down the road. An ounce of prevention is definitely worth a pound of cure. Upon the consideration of leasing a vehicle, I was presented with a so called, standard, lease agreement. After having my law firm review the so called "standard" lease agreement, it turned out it wasn't standard after all. A normal clause on a lease agreement has a buy out option or turn in the keys and walk away. This "standard" lease had a clause that if I chose to turn in the keys, I would be on the "hook" for the difference between the agreed upon buyout and what the dealer could have resold the vehicle for!!!!
